I haven’t opened my feedreader in a whole week. I have only had the time to peek in and out of a few blogs. So if you haven’t heard from me, it is because of this little thing called work that’s holding me back ;)

I happened to discover Choxbox’s blog and picked up the list-your-quirks tag, even though I wasn’t really tagged. Kodi has so many little quirks and I can’t make a separate post for each, so I jumped at the opportunity to bring them to the limelight.

On the subject of tags, there’s a list of them from eons ago that I haven’t done yet – Swati’s and Boo’s for Indian writing, Cee Kay’s for admiration, and Nanhi Pari’s Mom’s for fetish list. They have not been forgotten or ignored; only reason I haven’t done them is because I don’t know how to tailor it into the Kronicles. As soon as some creative brainstorm hits me, these tags will be done.

On to the kwirks.

Everytime Kodi laughs, he gets the hiccups. His laughter is of the huge belly-shaking kind and sometimes while laughing, he keels over and ROFL, literally. But the guffaws are always punctuated with hiccups. How wierd! They don’t bother him, so I haven’t actually done anything about them other then keeping a glass of water ready.

In Kodi’s world, objects exist either by themselves or in sets of 9. Nothing more, nothing less.
E.g.: We have four chairs.
Me: How many chairs are there?
Kodi: Won (one)
Me: I think there is more. Do you want to count them?
Kodi: Won, Two, Thil, Foal
Me: Good! *proud of his counting skills*
Kodi: *not done yet*…Fi, Chick, Cheven, Eight, Nine. Nine chail aya.(There are nine chairs)
Me: *so much for counting skills.*

Kodi is obsessed with his weight. He pulls out the bathroom scale everytime he sees it, weighs himself and declares twenty-foal. His constant checking the scale combined with his dieting tells me that he is working hard to keep it at that.

Kodi believes that time stands still for him. Long ago, he overheard a conversation between my parents. My dad asked for the time, and my mom replied 2.40. That moment in time is frozen in K’s world. Ask him what the time is, and he’ll tell you, two-fotty. Ask him again, 5 minutes or 1 hour later, and it would still be – two-fotty.

Now to pass on the baton. Let’s hear from these second kids. (because the firstborns and only kids hog too much attention!)
No limit on number of quirks you want to share.
